[New Korean Language Course]

We are excited to begin our Korean Language course next week! We currently have four students enrolled and three dedicated Teacher Assistant (TAs) to assist.

Our TAs are exceptional students who have achieved a Level 4 (the highest proficiency level) on the STAMP (Standards-Based Measurement of Proficiency) test and are on track to earn the Seal of Biliteracy. Combined with my experience as a certified K-12 World Language teacher (Korean) (with 5 years of experience of teaching Korean of various levels at the University of Washington and various Korean language schools), we are prepared to offer highly individualized instruction.

  • Goal: This course is designed to help high school students prepare for the STAMP test to earn high school world language credits without taking a year-long class. We will focus on vocabulary-building, reading comprehension, and writing skills.

  • Expansion: With our available TAs, we can now invite more students of various proficiency levels. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Hyun to discuss how we can accommodate your child’s level.

  • Assessment: We will prepare assessment materials on Jan 30th to check each student's level. Please email me if you would like to participate so I can prepare enough materials.

[Korea Course Schedule - 10 Sessions]

  • The class will run from 4:00 PM to 4:50 PM starting January 31st.

  • TAs will receive 2 hours of service credit per week (1 hour for teaching and 1 hour for grading/feedback).
